“William Tell” Trailer: Claes Bang Leads a Rebellion Against Tyranny in This Epic Retelling of the Legendary Swiss Folk Hero — Arrives in U.S. Theaters on April 4th
Over the centuries, William Tell has become such a symbol of heroism and rebellion that his legacy has woven itself into culture in ways we don’t always recognize. You might vaguely know his name or have some idea of his legend, but even if you don’t, you’ve definitely heard The William Tell Overture—or, as it’s more commonly known, The Lone Ranger theme song.
And let’s be honest—at some point, we’ve probably all confused William Tell with Robin Hood. Despite their similarities, they’re entirely different figures, from different countries and even different centuries. So maybe now is the perfect time for a history refresher, as a new rousing historical action movie about William Tell is on the way—because some legends are simply worth retelling!
Starring Danish actor Claes Bang (The Northman, The Square) as the legendary 14th-century Swiss archer, William Tell is a new sweeping epic actioner from Irish filmmaker Nick Hamm (Driven, The Journey, Godsend). The movie offers a kinetic dramatization of William Tell's rebellion against the oppressive Austrian King and his ruthless warlords.
Joining Bang, the stellar ensemble cast includes Connor Swindells, Golshifteh Farahani, Jonah Hauer-King, Ellie Bamber, Rafe Spall, Amar Chadha-Patel, Sam Keeley, Emily Beecham, and Jonathan Pryce, with Sir Ben Kingsley as King Albert.
William Tell will be hitting U.S. theaters on April 4th. Watch the U.S. trailer, above.
“The Wild” Trailer: Sunita Mani Leads a Camping Trip Gone Terribly Wrong in This Psychological Horror Thriller – Coming to Theaters on March 7th
Sunita Mani has been on our radar since her breakout role in Netflix’s ‘80s female wrestling series GLOW—instant fan, right away! And seriously, who didn’t love her delightfully absurd hotdog finger dance cameo in Everything Everywhere All at Once? Fun fact: that was actually a reunion with the directors, the Daniels, since they previously collaborated years ago on the now-iconic Turn Down for What music video.
So, whenever Sunita Mani pops up in something new, you better believe we’re paying attention! So, here ya go!
The Wild is a new psychological horror thriller starring Sunita Mani as one of a group of close female friends on their annual camping trip—only this time, a dark cloud looms over them. It’s their first outing together since the tragic death of a close friend, and as they attempt to confront their shared loss, long-buried trauma rises to the surface. Some want to forget, others want to blame, and tensions quickly reach a breaking point.
But the emotional turmoil takes an even darker turn when a passing backpacker stumbles into their campsite. He has no idea what he’s just walked into—nor how this seemingly ordinary trip will descend into a wilderness nightmare, where friends become foes and sisterhood unravels into pure chaos. Guess, some trips are better left untaken.
Written and directed by Jessica Kozak and also starring Kate Easton, Kayla Foster, and Danny Deferrari, The Wild is coming to theaters on March 7th. Watch the trailer, above.
“Warden” Trailer: A Documentary-Style Superhero Thriller Explores the Rise and Fall of a Vigilante – Coming to VOD and Digital on March 14th
After the 2012 breakout hit Chronicle became a massive phenomenon, you’d think it would have kickstarted a wave of superhero-tinged found-footage films. And while a few tried to replicate its success, the genre never quite took off the way some expected.
But just when it seemed like there was no more gas left in the tank, along comes Warden, a new documentary-style superhero thriller looking to reignite that same spark.
Presented as a documentary, Warden chronicles the life of a young man who suddenly gains superhuman abilities—flight, super-strength, the whole package. At first, his journey mirrors the path of a traditional hero, but as expectations mount and the lines blur, his story takes a darker turn into vigilantism. What starts as a rise to greatness soon spirals into the fall of a so-called hero who couldn’t live up to the idealized comic book model.
Directed by visual effects supervisor Marcus Alqueres and starring Giovanni de Lorenzi, Warden is coming to VOD and digital platforms starting on March 14th. Watch the trailer, above.
“The Comic Shop” Trailer: Jesse Metcalfe Fights to Save a Local Comic Book Store in This Indie Dramedy – Coming to VOD and Digital on April 11th
A common dream for anyone who grew up collecting stacks of comic books is to one day own a comic book store. But as we all know, brick-and-mortar shops are becoming a dying breed, struggling to survive against the rise of big superstores and online retailers. The same goes for comic book stores, where local mom-and-pop shops are forced to compete with corporate giants and sleek retail chains.
That sets the stage for The Comic Shop, a new indie dramedy starring Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives, Dallas) as a local comic book store owner fighting to keep his business afloat.
But don’t expect a doom-and-gloom story about the retail industry’s decline—judging by the trailer, The Comic Shop feels like a throwback to ’90s indie films, where every obstacle can be tackled with a little elbow grease and the right mindset.
Tristan Mays (MacGyver) co-stars as Alex, a punk-spirited comic book riot-grrrl who works under Metcalfe’s Brandon at his struggling shop. When a sleek comic book superstore opens nearby, the duo scrambles to keep their customers and acquire new ones. But things take a turn when a young aspiring comic book artist (Micah Giovanni) seeks advice, reigniting Brandon’s long-buried passion for illustration and injecting fresh energy into the store.
Co-starring Eric Roberts, The Comic Shop promises to be a love letter to comic book culture, one that might just rekindle those childhood dreams of owning a shop of your own. The film arrives on VOD and digital platforms on April 11th.
“Turn Me On” Trailer: Bel Powley and Nick Robinson Experience Emotions for the First Time in This Dystopian Sci-Fi Drama – Now Available on VOD and Digital
Imagine a dystopian future where human emotions have been completely erased through the daily administration of special vitamin pills and a strictly regulated, flavorless diet. Would you be content?
Bel Powley (The Morning Show, White Boy Rick) stars as an emotionless woman who disrupts her medication routine, only to awaken to a world of feelings and sensations in this dystopian sci-fi drama Turn Me On.
Co-starring Nick Robinson, Justin H. Min, D'Arcy Carden, Nesta Cooper, Griffin Newman, Patti Harrison, and Luke Kirby, the film follows Powley’s character as she convinces her boyfriend (Robinson) to do the same—leading them both to experience emotions for the first time in their lives. Love, joy, sex, and all the baggage that comes with them suddenly flood in. But as they attempt to share their newfound discovery with friends, the couple soon finds themselves at risk of being ostracized from their cold, apathetic community.
Directed by Michael Tyburski (The Sound of Silence) and written by Angela Bourassa (If You Were the Last), Turn Me On is now available on VOD and Digital. Watch the trailer above.
“The Life List” Trailer: Sofia Carson Embarks on a Bucket List Journey Guided by Connie Britton’s Messages from Beyond – Premieres March 28 on Netflix
Sometimes, all you need is a little motivation to recharge your life. But when it comes at one of your lowest moments, the journey can be messy—and sometimes downright embarrassing.
Netflix’s new feature The Life List stars Netflix regular Sofia Carson (Carry-On, Purple Hearts) as a young woman who finds herself compelled to complete a list of life goals she wrote years ago as a teenager. The push comes from her recently departed mother (Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights), who, in her will, leaves behind a DVD-recorded final wish: for her daughter to finish the bucket list she once dreamed up.
And there’s more—every time she checks off an item, she receives another DVD message from her mother, guiding (or perhaps micromanaging?) her journey from beyond the grave. Talk about a helicopter mom—Geez!
Written and directed by Adam Brooks (Definitely Maybe) and co-starring Kyle Allen and Sebastian de Souza, The Life List debuts March 28 on Netflix.

“The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” Trailer: Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Unite to Stop an Alien Invasion in This New Animated Adventure — Hitting Theaters March 14th!"
So, this is the first fully animated Looney Tunes feature film with entirely original material. Whoa! How cool is that?! But wait—why isn’t Warner Bros. distributing it?
Well, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie was originally set to debut as an HBO Max original streaming feature. Aaaaand then the WB merger with Discovery happened—leading to those release plans being scrapped. The film was on the verge of being shelved as a tax write-off under WB’s new management. But luckily, producers were given permission to shop it around for potential buyers. Enter Ketchup Entertainment, which acquired the North American rights. Now, the film is officially hitting U.S. theaters on March 14th.
Inspired by the alien invasion disaster films of the 1950s, this new animated comedy follows Daffy Duck and Porky Pig (both voiced by Looney Tunes voice actor Eric Bauza) as they’re forced to put their differences aside after stumbling upon a secret alien plot to take over Earth through mind control.
Directed and co-written by Peter Browngardt (Looney Tunes Cartoons), The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie will also feature other fan-favorite Looney Tunes characters, including Bugs and Daffy, Tweety and Sylvester, and Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner. And, we’re sure it’ll be stuffed with more slapstick gags than an ACME warehouse!
“The King of Kings” Trailer: Oscar Isaac Voices Jesus in Angel Studios’ Animated Retelling of Charles Dickens’ Classic – Arrives in Theaters on April 11
Featuring a top-notch voice cast that includes Kenneth Branagh, Uma Thurman, Mark Hamill, Pierce Brosnan, Roman Griffin Davis, Forest Whitaker, Ben Kingsley, and Oscar Isaac, this new animated film—distributed by faith-based movie studio Angel Studios—is being billed as the first biblical animated feature since 1998’s The Prince of Egypt.
Titled The King of Kings, the film is based on The Life of Our Lord, a classic 1850s short story by famed English novelist Charles Dickens, which recounts the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
In this new animated retelling, Kenneth Branagh voices Charles Dickens, who serves as the film’s narrator. The story is framed as Dickens sitting down with his children to recount the life of Jesus, with Oscar Isaac lending his voice to the role of Christ.
The King of Kings arrives in theaters on April 11th. Watch the trailer, above.
