Check out the official trailer for "The Legend of Ochi," a visually striking new fantasy drama set on a remote fictional island where the local villagers have long feared the legend of beasts and demons lurking in the forest. During a ritual hunt for the legendary Ochi creature, the chief's young daughter, Yuri, stumbles upon the mythical monster in the woods. To her surprise, the Ochi is nothing more than a frightened little creature. Determined to protect it from the angry villagers, Yuri embarks on a daring adventure across the island.
German child actress Helena Zengel, praised for her performance opposite Tom Hanks in the 2020 western "News of the World," takes on the lead role of Yuri. "Stranger Things" star Finn Wolfhard plays one of the young villagers, while screen icon Willem Dafoe (Poor Things, The Lighthouse) plays the chief. Emily Watson (Breaking the Waves, Punch-Drunk Love) rounds out the cast.
