Seth Rogen Stars as a Clueless Movie Exec. in First Teaser for Apple's New Hollywood Satire Series "The Studio" with Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and Bryan Cranston
Seth Rogen stars as the newly appointed head of a big movie studio in this new Apple original series. Rogen's character is a rare Hollywood figure -- someone in a position of power who fully realizes he might be ruining his own industry due to his sheer incompetence.
Check out the official teaser for Rogen's upcoming Hollywood satire series "The Studio," in which celebrities like Zoe Kravitz, Anthony Mackie, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Zac Efron, and Ron Howard portray heightened versions of themselves in a hilariously biting take on the movie industry. Rogen plays the new studio head of a fictional movie studio called Continental Studios. Though making movies has always been a lifelong dream, Rogen's character slowly comes to realize that his job may be more about ruining movies than supporting them.
The series, created by Rogen and his longtime producing-directing-and-writing partner Evan Goldberg, delivers a sharp, comedic look at Hollywood, where the ultimate truth is that no one in Tinseltown really knows anything about making movies, despite their so-called love for cinema.
Rogen leads the stacked ensemble cast that includes Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, Bryan Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Dewayne Perkins, with a number of celebrities playing themselves.
Rogen and Goldberg direct the pilot episode of the series, which will run for ten half-hour episodes. Rogen and Goldberg share executive producing and writing duties, as well as co-created credits with Emmy-winning "Veep" writers Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, and writer Frida Perez.
"The Studio" is scheduled to debut on March 26, 2025, exclusively on Apple TV Plus. Watch the newly-released teaser above.
