"Prime Target" Official Trailer: Leo Woodall Becomes a Marked Man After a Major Math Discovery in New Ridley Scott-Produced Apple TV Series with Quintessa Swindell and David Morrissey
White Lotus actor Leo Woodall Stars in Apple's New Tech Thriller About the Dangerous Power of Prime Numbers with Quintessa Swindell, David Morrissey, and Martha Plimpton
If someone ever told you that the science behind math was just for nerdy academic types obsessed with numbers, well, they never took the time to fully realize how much the world relies on math—particularly prime numbers and how they are used in computers. In fact, one could be bold enough to say that if you crack the code of math, you can control the world. At least, that's the sentiment alluded to in the new Apple original series Prime Target.
Leo Woodall, the breakout star of Season 2 of HBO's Emmy-winning The White Lotus and Netflix's romantic drama miniseries One Day, stars in this new series as a brilliant young mathematician on the brink of a major discovery. But when he realizes his findings could change how prime numbers are understood, his breakthrough attracts the attention of suspicious figures, far beyond his university professor. Soon, he finds himself under surveillance by mysterious government agents while being approached by a young woman who claims she wants to help. But why should he trust her, especially when he has become the prime target for potentially unraveling the secrets behind global digital security systems?
Joining Woodall in the cast is Quintessa Swindell, Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Jason Flemyng, Harry Lloyd, and Sidse Babett Knudsen. Created by British writer Steve Thompson, whose credits include the British shows Jericho, Vienna Blood, Leonardo, and Deep State. Legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott serves as executive producer, under Scott Free Productions.
Prime Target is slated to premiere on Apple TV+ starting on January 22nd. Watch the official trailer above.
