Keke Palmer and SZA Try to Avoid Eviction in Trailer for Issa Rae-Produced Buddy Comedy "One of Them Days"
Who hasn't found themselves a bit short when it comes to paying the bills at the end of the month? Sometimes, getting quick cash at the last minute can feel nearly impossible. This is the challenge Keke Palmer and SZA face in "One of Them Days." Check out the official trailer for this new L.A. buddy comedy that asks the question: what lengths are you willingly to go in order to avoid being thrown out of your apartment?
Produced by Issa Rae, the film stars Dreux (Keke Palmer, "Nope") and Alyssa (singer-songwriter SZA), two best friends and roommates who find themselves unable to cover their rent for the month. In a desperate attempt to scrape together some quick cash, they do what anyone in their shoes would do -- try to hustle and come up with the money as fast as they can. But every scheme hilariously backfires, leading to outrageous and unexpected consequences throughout the day.
Directed by music video helmer Lawrence Lamont ("Rap Sh!t") and written by "Insecure" writer Syreeta Singleton, the comedy boasts a strong supporting cast including Maude Apatow ("Euphoria"), Lil Rel Howery ("Get Out"), Janelle James ("Abbott Elementary"), Katt Williams ("Atlanta"), Keyla Monterroso Mejia ("Curb Your Enthusiasm"), and Ray Santiago ("Ash vs Evil Dead").
"One of Them Days" is set to hit theaters on January 24th. Watch the newly released trailer above.
