"The Righteous Gemstones" Final Season Trailer: Danny McBride’s Televangelist Satire Goes Out in a Blaze of Blasphemous Glory – Premieres March 9th on HBO and MAX
You might not have noticed, but there’s a war on religion. Luckily, the Gemstone family is here to spread the word of God—and, if time permits, raise a little hell!
Danny McBride—arguably the funniest comedic talent to emerge from the same comedy class as Judd Apatow, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, and Adam McKay—is ready to bring the house down one last time with the fourth and final season of his televangelist satire, The Righteous Gemstones.
The HBO series takes sharp, biting jabs at the glitzy and often contradictory world of televangelism, where spreading the Lord’s word has become a massively profitable business. Who knew Jesus was all about those Benjamins?
Here, McBride stars as Jesse Gemstone, a televangelist preacher and the self-proclaimed heir to his family’s religious empire. With his father, Eli Gemstone (played by John Goodman), on sabbatical in Florida, Jesse and his siblings (Adam DeVine and Edi Patterson) are left to run the televangelist dynasty themselves —chaos, greed, and blasphemy included.
It seems that for this final season, the Gemstones are gearing up to rally the entire family and their closest allies for one last over-the-top stage production—packed with enough razzmatazz to jolt even the biggest sinner into repentance.
But before that, Jesse has a new brilliant idea to sell: the prayer pod! A sleek, high-tech pod designed exclusively for praying, complete with all the latest bells and whistles to make worship as simple and easy as possible. Unfortunately, it’s also just the right size for other, far less holy activities—let's just say, they have another name for it on the streets: the "squirt yurts."
Seann William Scott and Megan Mullally join the cast of Season 4 while Stephen Dorff, from Season 3 as Jesse's rival Vance, returns along with other returning cast members Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz, and Skyler Gisondo. Meanwhile, Walton Goggins's Baby Billy Freeman, the white-haired Gospel entertainer, will also be back to throw a little sand in the machine just to make it interesting.
The Righteous Gemstones will conclude with its fourth season, premiering Sunday, March 9th on HBO and MAX.
"Good American Family" Trailer: Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass Adopt a Mysterious Orphan in Hulu’s Psychological Thriller Inspired by a Bizarre True Story – Premieres March 19th on Hulu
No good deed goes unpunished—especially when welcoming someone into your family without a proper background check. Yikes!
From the first portion of the trailer for Hulu’s upcoming miniseries Good American Family, one could easily assume it’s a heartwarming tale about the importance of adopting those most in need. A story that suggests if we open our hearts to the most vulnerable, we can grow into a more empathetic world—one that vanquishes the idea of the unwanted and the discarded.
Then, the trailer shifts. The tone darkens. The warmth fades. Suddenly, Good American Family transforms into a full-fledged horror story—reminiscent of Orphan. Because the young orphan this family has welcomed into their home? Well… she might be hiding a very dark secret.
Oh boy! We don't know what to think about this project... but perhaps that's the point. It's trying to keep us on our toes.
In this new Hulu drama, Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and The Morning Show's Mark Duplass play a happily Midwestern couple who have decided to take in a little 7-year-old orphan girl with a rare form of dwarfism. At first, the couple is excited to add a new member to their family. But when questions about the girl's age and background start to creep up with no direct answers, the couple finds themselves at odds when one thinks they’re being conned by someone who might be lying and posing a serious threat to their lives.
Created by Katie Robbins, Good American Family is inspired by the stranger-than-fiction true story of Natalia Grace, a real-life Ukrainian-born orphan with a questionable background. Newcomer actress Imogen Faith Reid portrays Natalia in this eight-episode miniseries. Reid is a 27-year-old little person who is making her acting debut in a leading role.
Co-starring Sarayu Blue, Dule Hill, and Christina Hendricks, Good American Family will be debuting Wednesday, March 19th on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
"Long Bright River" Trailer: Amanda Seyfried Stars as a Determined Philly Cop Fighting for Justice and Vulnerable Homeless Women in New Gritty Cop Series – Premieres March 13th on Peacock
A police officer's job is to protect and serve the community—but that doesn’t mean only the community they choose.
Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout, Mank) stars in Long Bright River, a new Peacock limited series about a Philadelphia patrol officer who finds herself alone in her fight to protect a ravaged neighborhood of drug-addicted homeless women amid a chilling wave of unsolved murders.
Also starring Nicholas Pinnock and Dash Mihok, Long Bright River delves into America’s opioid crisis, where the most vulnerable are increasingly targeted by crime and violence. But when Seyfried’s character takes a stand, she faces resistance—not just from the streets but from within her own department. Some colleagues warn her to back off, but she refuses, unable to look away—especially when she has close family ties to the very women struggling to survive on those same streets.
Long Bright River will begin streaming Thursday, March 13, exclusively on Peacock.
