New TV Trailers: The Four Seasons, Duster, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, The Handmaid’s Tale: Final Season and More!
Here's a quick rundown of some of the newest trailers for TV shows and streaming dramas coming soon.
“The Four Seasons” Teaser Trailer: Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, and Steve Carell Navigate Love, Laughter, and Vacation Disasters in this New Netflix Comedy Series — Streaming May 1
It's funny—it feels like Tina Fey has been off our radar for years, if not a whole decade. But maybe that’s just because, during the late aughts and early 2010s, the Emmy Award-winning comic actress and writer was everywhere. Whether it was SNL, 30 Rock, or hosting the Golden Globes, Fey seemed to pop up everywhere we looked. She even made surprise appearances in unexpected places—like Artie Lange's Beer League, for Christ’s sake.
But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been steadily working. Over the past five years, Fey has been busy behind the scenes, creating or executive producing comedy series like Mr. Mayor, Girls5eva, and the animated show Mulligan. And let’s not forget her major involvement in the Mean Girls musical and its recent film adaptation.
Turns out, she never really left—she just moved a little further behind the curtain. Well, now Tina Fey is back in front of it, starring in a brand-new comedy series she co-created alongside Never Have I Ever co-creator Lang Fisher and Great News creator Tracey Wigfield.
And while Fey may be at the top of the call sheet, she’s joined by a powerhouse ensemble that includes Will Forte, Steve Carell, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, and recent Oscar nominee Colman Domingo—who just might be in everything these days (not that we’re complaining).
In this new Netflix limited comedy series The Four Seasons, Fey and Forte, Carell and Kenney-Silver, and Domingo and Calvani star as three couples—best friends—who plan four vacation getaways together, one for each season of the year. But their picture-perfect plans start to unravel when one of the couples teeters on the edge of divorce.
Based on the 1981 Alan Alda and Carol Burnett comedy of the same name, the series’ first two episodes are directed by the wife-husband directing duo Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini (American Splendor, Succession, Only Murders in the Building).
Colman Domingo, who recently expressed interest in directing and starring in a Nat King Cole biopic, also steps behind the camera to direct one of the episodes.
The Four Seasons is slated to premiere Thursday, May 1st on Netflix.
“Duster” Teaser Trailer: Josh Holloway Reunites with Lost Co-creator J.J. Abrams for Gritty 1970s Crime Series Packed with Muscle Cars and Bullet-Riddled Mayhem; Also Starring Rachel Hilson and Keith David — On MAX May 15th
Josh Holloway had his biggest career breakthrough playing the charmingly gruff Sawyer on the hit mystery series Lost. Now, 15 years later, he’s reuniting with Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams for a brand-new show. But don’t expect any plane crashes, mysterious islands, smoke monsters, polar bears, hidden hatches, or shady Dharma stations (yes, we were very into that goddamn show)—this one’s a whole different beast.
Instead, this is a gritty, grindhouse-style throwback to the pulpy detective crime thrillers of the 1970s. Think less metaphysical and unanswerable mysteries, more muscle cars, leather jackets, and figuring out which gun to tuck in your boot before you leave the house.
Duster is a new MAX original series from creators J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan (Into the Badlands, Turn: Washington's Spies). In it, Holloway stars as a professional getaway driver navigating the dusty backroads of Southwest Arizona in 1972. Against his better judgment, he teams up with an ambitious young FBI agent (Rachel Hilson, This Is Us, Winning Time) to take down his boss, a ruthless kingpin in the drug game—Ezra Saxton, played by the legendary Keith David (The Thing, They Live, Dead Presidents).
Prepare to hit that gas pedal when Duster roars onto MAX on Thursday, May 15th. Just make sure you've got a full tank—because this ride's bound to burn rubber and leave plenty of dust in its rearview.
“The Narrow Road to the Deep North” Trailer: Jacob Elordi Plays a POW in This Epic WWII Miniseries from Australian Director Justin Kurzel, Based on Richard Flanagan’s Best-Seller – Coming Soon
In what might be his most challenging role to date, Australian actor Jacob Elordi—known for playing Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola's Priscilla and the volatile high school football star Nate in HBO's Euphoria—undergoes a striking transformation, appearing physically leaner to portray a prisoner of war in the new WWII miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North.
Based on Richard Flanagan's best-selling novel of the same name, this Australian-produced historical drama follows the decade-spanning story of Dorrigo Evans, a revered surgeon whose life is forever shaped by his harrowing time in a brutal Japanese POW camp during World War II.
Elordi portrays Dorrigo as a young man, while the older version is played by Ciarán Hinds. The story also delves into a passionate, forbidden love affair between Dorrigo and Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young), the young wife of his uncle.
The five-part miniseries features a strong supporting cast, including Olivia DeJonge, Thomas Weatherall, Heather Mitchell, Simon Baker, and Masa Yamaguchi.
Acclaimed Australian filmmaker Justin Kurzel—known for Snowtown (2011), Macbeth (2015), and The Order (2024)—directs the entire series, with writer Shaun Grant adapting the novel.
Kurzel and Grant previously collaborated on Snowtown, Nitram (2021), and True History of the Kelly Gang (2020).
While Flanagan’s novel is a work of fiction, it draws inspiration from his father’s real-life experience as a Japanese POW and the true story of Australian war hero Edward “Weary” Dunlop, a doctor who cared for fellow prisoners during the infamous construction of the Burma Death Railway.
The Narrow Road to the Deep North will be released in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand via Amazon Prime Video, and in the UK on the BBC.
However, as of now, there’s no official U.S. release date.
“The Handmaid’s Tale” Final Season Trailer: June (Elisabeth Moss) Leads a Red-Cloaked Rebellion as Gilead Faces Collapse — On Hulu April 8th
When The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu's Emmy award-winning adaptation of Margaret Atwood's iconic dystopian novel, premiered back in 2017, the idea of witnessing the rise of a theocratic regime—where women are reduced to second-class citizens and forced into fertility servitude—seemed far-fetched to some. But eight years later, as global politics shift and authoritarian ideologies become more common around the world, the once-fictional premise no longer feels silly. It now feels like a sobering warning sign of a bleak future that’s increasingly within reach.
Now, with five seasons behind it and a sixth on the way next month, the Bruce Miller-created series is gearing up for its final chapter—one driven by revolution. A red-cloaked uprising is brewing, led by June (Elisabeth Moss), who is determined to tear down the Gilead regime with every ounce of her being. And for good reason—when we first met Moss’s June Osborne (aka Offred), she was a shell of herself, captured and placed into a rigid handmaid unit under the control of Commander Waterford and his devout and ruthless wife Serena (Yvonne Strahovski). But after five harrowing seasons, June is leading a full-blown rebellion against a brutal regime that seems destined to collapse—yet keeps finding new ways to cling to power.
It’s going to take everything June has—every ally, every resource, every ounce of fight left—to finally stand up and declare, “enough.”
Co-starring Max Minghella, O-T Fagbenle, Ann Dowd, Madeline Brewer, Samira Wiley, with Bradley Whitford and Josh Charles, The Handmaid’s Tale: Sixth and Final Season kicks off with a three-episode premiere on Tuesday, April 8 on Hulu, followed by weekly episodes leading up to its May 27 finale. So prepare yourself—Gilead’s reckoning is almost here.
“The Walking Dead: Dead City” Season 2 Trailer: Maggie and Negan Face a Ruthless Power Struggle Amidst a Zombie-Infested Manhattan – On AMC and AMC+ May 4th
In a collapsed society, power is everything. But in a collapsed society crawling with flesh-eating zombies, power isn’t just everything—it’s the only thing. And plenty are willing to fight for it.
The Walking Dead: Dead City, one of the many spinoffs in the Robert Kirkman-created zombie apocalypse universe, returns this spring with its second season, diving deeper into the brutal question of who’s willing to seize power and lead what’s left of a crumbling island. That island, of course, is Manhattan—Dead City's defining backdrop, making it the Walking Dead series set in the heart of New York.
It’s also the series that continues the unlikely alliance between two fan-favorite characters: Maggie and Negan (once again played by Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan), sworn enemies turned reluctant partners in survival. For Maggie, this mission isn’t just about surviving—it's about building a future for her son, Hershel Rhee (played by Ghostbusters: Afterlife’s Logan Kim).
Season 2 features a stacked supporting cast, including Zeljko Ivanek (Madam Secretary), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Lisa Emery (Ozark), Gaius Charles (God Friended Me), Dascha Polanco (Orange Is the New Black), Keir Gilchrist (It Follows), and Jake Weary (Animal Kingdom).
The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 premieres Sunday, May 4th on AMC and AMC+.
“Law & Order: Organized Crime” Season 5 Trailer: Christopher Meloni Is Still on the Case as Det. Elliot Stabler in Spinoff Series – Streaming on Peacock April 17th
At this point, Christopher Meloni might as well go through the rigmarole of police academy and make it official, because he will likely be forever known as New York detective Elliot Stabler from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. With over 20 years playing the same character, Meloni could be eyeing some kind of TV longevity record.
He tried to hang up the badge a few years back, but like Al Pacino in The Godfather Part III, “just when he thought he was out... they pull him back in!”
Meloni returned as Stabler in the spinoff Organized Crime, and he’s now five seasons deep. That went by fast. At this pace, he might be in for five more seasons—and then maybe hop onto another spinoff like Law & Order: Special Geriatric Unit.
Executive produced by Law & Order mastermind Dick Wolf, Season 5 of Law & Order: Organized Crime begins streaming Thursday, April 17th on Peacock. Want to catch up? Good luck—it might take you a decade. This franchise has a lot of episodes. Which just proves crime doesn't pay, but it sure keeps the writers, producers, and Christopher Meloni well employed.
