Alan Ritchson Brings the Action and the Muscle as Jack Reacher Infiltrates a Smuggling Ring in New Season 3 Trailer for Amazon Prime's Hit Show, "Reacher"
Jack Reacher is back, baby! He’s back doing what he does best: putting bad guys in their place with his bruised-up knuckles. Reacher also has a knack for attracting a few federal agents to look into his business—which means plenty of sit-downs with people in nice suits. And from the looks of this new Season 3 trailer, Reacher, as big as he is, sitting down in a tiny lawn chair, looks kind of funny.
Alan Ritchson is perfect as the brawny ex-military police investigator-turned-small-town drifter, Jack Reacher. Ritchson returns for another action-packed season, doubling down on the hyper-muscular action that has made this series a massive hit for Amazon Prime. We’d say it’s a throwback to '80s action films, but it’s more like this show eats '80s action films for lunch.
Season 3 will be based on Lee Child's book Persuader, where Reacher infiltrates a smuggling ring to track down a presumed-dead murderer responsible for the deaths of several of his former army colleagues. We get a glimpse of how Reacher goes about infiltrating this underground ring: he poses as himself, applying for a security guard position and offering to handle the dirtiest of tasks. His initiation? Reacher must beat up a guy, believe it or not, bigger than he is. Of course, Reacher takes on the challenge with excitement and glee. It’s a job only he can handle—and we think he gets a real kick out of it.
Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters join Season 3, with Danish actress Maria Sten returning as Frances Neagley, a security officer and Reacher's loyal friend and former Army buddy.
Reacher: Season 3 starts streaming February 20th on Prime Video.
Rob McElhenney and Charlotte Nicdao Return to Tackle Gaming Industry Drama, Political Pushback, and Office Shenanigans in New Season 4 Trailer for Apple TV's Comedy Series "Mythic Quest"
The old gang from Mythic Quest is back at work, and this time, Ian (Rob McElhenney), Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), David (David Hornsby), Brad (Danny Pudi), Jo (Jessie Ennis), Rachel (Ashly Burch), Dana (Imani Hakim), Carol (Naomi Ekperigin), and Sue (Caitlin McGee) are entering a new phase of their video game company. They’re juggling their flagship multiplayer online game, Raven's Banquet, and their new breakout hit, a kid-friendly video game. The problem? Poppy, the company’s lead engineer, is spending more of her time with her new boyfriend. Meanwhile, the company is facing government pushback, as the success of their new kid game has caught the attention of career-driven politicians looking to impose more restrictions on video game platforms.
From the creators of Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney—the team behind the FX outrageous comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and its popular companion recap show The Always Sunny Podcast—comes this Apple original comedy that takes dark and hysterical satirical jabs at the video gaming world. One could compare it to the video game equivalent of HBO's Silicon Valley, which hilariously and sometimes deadly skewered actual depictions of the tech world.
The team behind Mythic Quest has struck a nice balance, poking fun at references that only video gamers would know, while also using the structure of a workplace comedy to allow these silly characters to evolve and develop. The series returns with its fourth season, set to premiere on January 29th, only on Apple TV+.
Palestinian-American Comedian Mo Amer Explores Refugee Life, Family, and Politics in Season 2 Trailer for His Netflix Comedy Series "Mo"
Palestinian-American comedian Mohammed "Mo" Amer tackles Muslim stereotypes and the complexities of culture clashes in the first season of his groundbreaking Netflix comedy series Mo. In the show, he plays a semi-biographical version of himself—a Palestinian refugee living in Houston, Texas, who is navigating the challenges of seeking asylum and citizenship in the United States.
With Season 2, Mo delves deeper into hot-button issues, exploring the ongoing conflict in Palestine and America’s thorny immigration policies, all while maintaining the wickedly sly humor he has become known for.
Mo Amer created this Netflix show alongside fellow Muslim stand-up comedian Ramy Youssef, who has earned Emmy nominations for his own semi-biographical comedy series Ramy and for directing an episode of the hit series The Bear. Executive produced by A24 Studios, Mo: Season 2 debuts on January 30th, exclusively on Netflix.
Watson: Morris Chestnut Stars as Dr. Watson in CBS's New Medical Mystery Series Reimagining Sherlock Holmes’s Famous Companion
"Elementary, my dear Watson." You might be surprised to learn that this iconic quote was never actually used in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original Sherlock Holmes books. It likely originated from a number of early Sherlock Holmes stage plays in the early 1900s. The point is, over several decades, these Sherlock Holmes stories have been adapted, reimagined, and remade multiple times, with each iteration adding to the ever-growing Sherlock Canon. And now that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works and characters have entered the public domain, anyone can freely use, adapt, and recreate these stories and characters in any way they see fit. This also means television studios like CBS can do the same, which brings us to the new network drama Watson.
This show reimagines Dr. John Watson as the lead of a modern medical team specializing in solving the most baffling cases that have stumped most doctors. Think of it as House with a Sherlock Holmes twist! Morris Chestnut stars as this new Dr. Watson for a new generation, joined by a supporting ensemble that includes Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Inga Schlingmann, Ritchie Coster, and Rochelle Aytes. Created by Craig Sweeny (Elementary, The Code), Watson is set to premiere on January 26th on CBS.
