"M3GAN 2.0" Teaser: The Murderous AI Doll is Back With a Deadly New Upgrade

Did you miss her? She's back! The horror hit’s creative team returns as M3GAN reboots for another terrifying chapter.

For decades, Chucky ruled the horror scene, particularly the evil doll subgenre. But M3GAN is making a run at the crown as she’s set to return this summer—this time, upgraded to 2.0!

Get a sneak peek of her return in this teaser for M3GAN 2.0, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2023 horror smash about a revolutionary AI doll, programmed to be the ultimate companion for children, only to have homicidal impulses take over her main directive as she becomes extremely protective of her young owner.

Once again hailing from the horror powerhouse of producer James Wan, of Atomic Monster, and producer Jason Blum, of Blumhouse, M3GAN 2.0 brings back the same creative team from the original film: horror director Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) and horror screenwriter Akela Cooper (Malignant).

Actress Allison Williams will also return as Gemma, the brilliant roboticist and creator of the M3GAN doll. Violet McGraw is also returning as Cady, Gemma’s orphaned niece whom M3GAN was originally designed for.

Meanwhile, voice actress Jenna Davis and movement performer and choreographer Amie Donald are back to embody the evil doll once more as M3GAN is resurrected with a new system update.

The first M3GAN film shattered box office records, opening to $30.4 million domestically and went on to gross more than $180 million worldwide, becoming a bona fide horror sensation and a pop culture phenomenon in 2023.

It’s two years later. So, can that murderous doll do it again? Well, fans will see if it lives up to the hype when M3GAN 2.0 arrives in theaters on June 27th.
