Bridget Jones is back on the dating scene after a lifetime of heartbreaks and heartaches. This time, as a widowed mother of young children, she dives into the world of dating apps, where finding love is as challenging as ever.
Check out the official trailer for "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy," the fourth installment in the popular romantic comedy film series based on the best-selling books by Helen Fielding. This film follows the events of 2016's "Bridget Jones's Baby," with two-time Oscar winner Renee Zellweger returning to the role that made her a cultural icon: an English woman navigating the complexities of love, career, and now, motherhood.
The film also stars Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones, Isla Fisher, with Colin Firth appearing as Bridget's late love, Mark, in memory flashbacks. Meanwhile, "Love Actually" actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall from "White Lotus" join the cast as Bridget's two new potential suitors.
Directed by acclaimed TV helmer Michael Morris ("Better Call Saul," "House of Cards," "13 Reasons Why") and written by Dan Mazer ("Bridget Jones's Baby," "Borat") and Abi Morgan ("The Iron Lady"), this new chapter is based on Helen Fielding's 2013 book of the same name.
"Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy" will premiere exclusively on Peacock in the U.S. on February 13, 2025, with a theatrical release in the U.K. and other international markets in February.
