Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor Embarks on a Globe-Trotting Mission in Trailer for Neil Burger's New Espionage Thriller "Inheritance"
British actress Phoebe Dynevor first gained attention for her breakout role as Daphne Bridgerton in Netflix's hit period drama series "Bridgerton." Since moving on from the show, Dynevor has taken on a few challenging roles. Most recently, she received critical acclaim for her performance alongside Alden Ehrenreich in Netflix's steamy workplace thriller "Fair Play" and was a contender for the role of Lois Lane in James Gunn's upcoming "Superman" movie, a part ultimately awarded to Rachel Brosnahan. Dynevor now takes on the role of a wide-eyed woman thrust into the treacherous world of espionage in the upcoming thriller "Inheritance," for which an official trailer has been released.
The film, directed and co-written by Neil Burger (Limitless, Divergent, The Illusionist), centers on a twenty-something woman named Maya (played by Dynevor), who uncovers a shocking truth about her father, an international businessman portrayed by Rhys Ifans ("House of the Dragon"). Maya discovers that her dad has secretly worked as a U.S. intelligence operative. Following an unexpected meeting with his daughter, he reveals plans for her to follow in his footsteps. However, things take a dangerous turn when Maya's father mysteriously disappears. Now in possession of sensitive government materials, Maya is thrust into a high-stakes mission across the globe to find her father, all while being relentlessly pursued by Interpol agents.
Co-written by spy novelist Olen Steinhauer (The Tourist), who created the spy series "Berlin Station," "Inheritance" is coming to U.S. theaters on January 24th. Watch the trailer, above.
