Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming western epic "American Primeval," a six-episode miniseries that delves into the harsh and unforgiving early days of the American West.
Set in 1857, the series comes from acclaimed director Peter Berg ("Friday Night Lights," "Lone Survivor") and screenwriter Mark L. Smith ("The Revenant," "Twisters").
The drama stars Betty Gilpin ("GLOW") as a resilient frontierswoman navigating the perilous American Old West. Traveling alone with her young son, she enlists the help of a skilled survivalist with a troubled past, portrayed by Taylor Kitsch ("Waco," "The Terminal List," "Lone Survivor"), to guide them through a treacherous landscape filled with Mormon radicals, ruthless outlaws, and warring Native American tribes.
The cast also features Kim Coates, Jai Courtney, Kyle Bradley Davis, Dane DeHaan, Preston Mota, Nick Hargrove, Derek Hinkey, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Shawnee Pourier, Joe Tippett, and Shea Whigham.
