If you love watching veteran character actor J.K. Simmons or just simply love watching him scream at people -- well, get ready to be happy. 'Cause the "Whiplash" Oscar-winner spends most of his time yelling at "Blindspot" star Sullivan Stapleton in this newly-released trailer for the Luc Besson-produced military heist thriller "Renegades."

Stapleton stars here as the leader of a tight-knit Navy SEALs team that goes on an unauthorized mission to recover stolen Nazi gold bars which have been buried for more than 50 years at the bottom of a lake in Sarajevo.

The film, which is set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War in 1995, also stars Charlie Bewley (The Twilight Saga), Sylvia Hoeks (The Best Offer), Broadway actor Joshua Henry, Diarmaid Murtagh (Vikings), Clemens Schick (Casino Royale), and Trainspotting's Ewen Bremner. Simmons co-stars as a really pissed-off military commander.

Steven Quale, the action helmer of "Into the Storm" and "Final Destination 5," directs from a script that was co-written by Besson and "The Equalizer" and "The Expendables 2" scribe Richard Wenk.

"Renegades" will hit theaters on February 3, 2017.

synopsis:
RENEGADES is about a team of Navy SEALs on assignment in war-torn Europe who discover a treasure of gold at the bottom of a lake -- rumored to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. In an effort to help the locals, they go rogue and engineer a heist to retrieve the gold and return it to its rightful owners. But in a deadly turn of events, they are detected by the enemy and left with only 10 hours to carry out their mission.
