Just in time for Halloween! Here's something to give you the willies. Check out the new sneak peek clip/trailer for the stylish black-and-white indie horror "The Eyes of My Mother."

The film, which made an impression at Sundance this year, tells the eerie story of an isolated young woman who, after being raised to perform grotesque surgeries by her eye-surgeon mother, gets to live out her homicidal fantasies on the family farm.

Music video director-turned-first-time filmmaker Nicolas Pesce writes and directs this atmospheric Gothic horror, which stars newcomer Kika Magalhaes as the crazy protagonist, Francisca, and Diana Agostini as Francisca's equally crazy Portuguese mother. Newcomer Olivia Bond plays a creepy young Francisca, who is shown in the above clip making a new "friend."

"The Eyes of My Mother" arrives in theaters and on VOD December 2.

synopsis:
In their secluded farmhouse, a mother, formerly a surgeon in Portugal, teaches her daughter, Francisca, to understand anatomy and be unfazed by death. One afternoon, a mysterious visitor horrifyingly shatters the idyll of Francisca's family life, deeply traumatizing the young girl, but also awakening some unique curiosities. Though she clings to her increasingly reticent father, Francisca’s loneliness and scarred nature converge years later when her longing to connect with the world around her takes on a distinctly dark form.
