Prepare to experience a soldier's journey like never before.

Check out a new trailer for the cutting-edge 3D film from Oscar-winning director Ang Lee, "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk," which tells an intimate story about a 19-year-old Iraq War veteran returning home to his family after surviving a traumatic experience on the battlefield.

The film, told with flashbacks but set in a single-day period during a Thanksgiving Day football game, stars British newcomer Joe Alwyn (in his first ever film role) as the titular American soldier Billy Lynn. Alwyn is backed up by an all-star supporting cast that includes Vin Diesel, Kristen Stewart, Steve Martin, Chris Tucker, Makenzie Leigh, and Garrett Hedlund.

Based on Ben Fountain's critically acclaimed novel of the same name, the movie was filmed in 4K resolution and with state-of-the-art 3D cameras. The film is also expected to be shown in some multiplexes in the ultra-high frame rate of 120 frames per second, which is said to add an extra dimension to the 3D theater experience.

"Billy Lynn" will open in select theaters on November 11 before expanding nationwide November 18.

synopsis:
Director Ang Lee brings his extraordinary vision to Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, based on the widely-acclaimed, bestselling novel. The film is told from the point of view of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (newcomer Joe Alwyn) who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, becomes a hero after a harrowing Iraq battle and is brought home temporarily for a victory tour. Through flashbacks, culminating at the spectacular halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day football game, the film reveals what really happened to the squad -- contrasting the realities of the war with America’s perceptions.
