In the upcoming Wolverine solo movie "Logan," Hugh Jackman is reprising his fan-favorite "X-Men" role, sadly, for the last time. However, this will be the first time "X-Men" fans will see the sharp-clawed, fast-healing mutant character looking intentionally grizzled and visibly worn down.

Check out the very first "Logan" trailer, which features a much older Wolverine as the film takes place in a bleak future where mutants are lacking in numbers and an evil corporation has seized authoritative control of most of the planet.

Loosely based on the "Old Man Logan" storyline from the 2008 comic books, the film focuses on an aging Wolverine (Jackman) whose healing powers have declined over the years, resulting in constant physical pain and battle scars. Patrick Stewart is also back to play an elderly Professor Xavier, who is now suffering from memory loss.

The cast also includes Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, and Richard E. Grant.

Helmed by "The Wolverine" director James Mangold, "Logan" will be clawing its way into theaters early next year, on March 3, 2017.

synopsis:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
