"Silicon Valley" actor Martin Starr falls madly in love with Mae Whitman's voice in the trailer for the Siri-like tech comedy "Operator."

Also starring Nat Faxon (FX's Married), Retta (Parks and Recs), and comedienne Cameron Esposito with an appearance by Christine Lahti, the film centers on an overworked programmer (Starr) who becomes emotionally attached and desperately obsessed with his wife's voice after she (Whitman) is chosen to be the vocal model for his tech company's new Siri-esque operating system.

"Operator" is written and produced by first-time filmmakers Sharon Greene and Logan Kibens, who also served as the director. The indie comedy premiered to strong reviews in March at the SXSW Film Festival. It's now set to hit theaters November 8.

synopsis:
An anxious programmer enlists the help of his empathetic wife when given the task to create the perfect call center program. However, their relationship spirals out of control when he begins replacing her with an ideal computerized replica.
