Nicolas Cage sports a crazy salt-n-pepper beard and ponytail as he tries to hunt down Osama bin Laden in the newly released trailer for the upcoming comedy "Army of One," helmed by Emmy-winning "Seinfeld" producer-writer and "Borat" director Larry Charles.

Based on a GQ article by journalist Chris Heath, the film tells the stranger-than-fiction story of Gary Faulkner (played by Cage), a real-life 50-year-old crackpot from Colorado who, after receiving a message from God, was compelled to travel to Pakistan in search of the infamous al-Qaeda leader in 2005.

The cast also includes The Goldbergs' Wendi McLendon-Covey, The Office's Rainn Wilson, American Horror Story's Denis O'Hare, and British comedian Russell Brand (as God).

"Army of One" will be released on Digital HD on Friday, November 4 and on Blu-Ray, DVD, and VOD on Tuesday, November 15.

synopsis:
Gary Faulkner (Nicolas Cage) is an ex-con, unemployed handyman, and modern day Don Quixote who receives a vision from God (Russell Brand) telling him to capture Osama Bin Laden. Armed with only a single sword purchased from a home-shopping network, Gary travels to Pakistan to complete his mission. While on his quest, Gary encounters old friends back home in Colorado, the new friends he makes in Pakistan, the enemies he makes at the CIA -- and even God and Osama themselves.
