Netflix has released the debut trailer for "Trollhunters," a new animated fantasy adventure series from DreamWorks Animation, created by visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) and based on the illustrated novel he co-wrote with award-winning author Daniel Kraus.
The series tells the story of a 15-year-old boy named Jim Sturges, who, after stumbling onto a special magical amulet, is chosen to be the next "Trollhunter," a mythical guardian who is responsible for keeping the balance between good and evil trolls.
Kelsey Grammer, Charlie Saxton, and Ron Perlman are among the voice cast, while the voice of the main character, Jim, is provided by the late, actor Anton Yelchin, who tragically died in a freak accident a couple of months ago in June.
Netflix plans to release "Trollhunters" at the end of the year, around Christmas time, beginning Friday, December 23.
