The first trailer has been released for "Power Rangers," the upcoming film adaptation of the long-running kid-friendly sci-fi action series.
The film, helmed by "Project Almanac" director Dean Israelite, stars Becky G. (FOX's Empire), newcomer Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott (FOX's Terra Nova), Ludi Lin (Monster Hunt), and RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) as five misfit teens who, after stumbling on a strange alien crash site, are gifted super powers and later super suits. They soon form a team to protect Earth from a wicked alien enchantress named Rita Repulsa (played by Elizabeth Banks).
Co-starring David Denman and supposedly featuring Bryan Cranston as the voice of the team's alien mentor and creator, Zordon, "Power Rangers" will open worldwide on March 24 , 2017.

SABAN’S POWER RANGERS follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet.
