Sony Pictures has released the full-length trailer for "Underworld: Blood Wars," the fifth entry in the horror action franchise, which takes place in a futuristic fantasy universe where a feud between Vampires and Lycans (aka werewolves) has been going on for centuries. Well, it seems Kate Beckinsale, reprising her role as badass vampire death dealer Selene, intends to put an end to all that for the sake of her daughter.
The film also stars Divergent's Theo James and Game of Thrones' Charles Dance, who are both back reprising their vampire roles. Meanwhile "Outlander" actor Tobias Menzies has joined the cast as Marius, the new ruthless leader of the Lycans, who is looking to capture Selene and her daughter as their blood could shift the war in their favor.
Roland Emmerich's longtime cinematographer and second unit director Anna Foerster (White House Down, Anonymous) is making her feature directorial debut from a screenplay by "The Last Witch Hunter" scribe Cory Goodman.
"Underworld: Blood Wars" also stars Lara Pulver and Bradley James and will be hitting theaters on January 6, 2017.
