Sony Pictures Classics has released the U.S. trailer for "Julieta," the latest film from award-winning Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar (Talk to Her, All About My Mother, The Skin I Live In).

Starring Emma Suarez and Adriana Ugarte, the Spanish-language, female-centric drama, which is based on the stories by acclaimed writer Alice Munro, focuses on the life of Julieta, a grief-stricken mother who wants to rekindle a relationship with her adult daughter, Antia, but yet hasn't spoken to her in over a decade since the death of Julieta's husband and Antia's father.

Also starring Daniel Grao, Inma Cuesta, Dario Grandinetti, Michelle Jenner, and Rossy de Palma, "Julieta" had premiered in the summer at the Cannes Film Festival to mostly positive reviews. The movie will be getting a U.S. release in late December, opening first in New York and Los Angeles on December 21 with other cities to follow.
