Mo' money, Mo' problems. Matthew McConaughey dreams of striking it rich, only to realize that it's turned into a living nightmare in the new international trailer for "Gold."

In this inspired-by-true-events drama, set in the late 1980s, McConaughey plays a financially desperate treasure hunter who has one last shot at striking it big. Luckily, he makes his shot count as he unearths a multibillion-dollar gold mine while digging in the Indonesian jungle. But he soon discovers that finding fortune is nowhere near as hard as keeping it.

Also starring Bryce Dallas Howard as McConaughey's wife and Edgar Ramirez as his geologist business partner, the film is directed by Stephen Gaghan, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of "Traffic" and the writer-director behind the George Clooney-led CIA thriller "Syriana."

"Gold," which co-stars Toby Kebbell and Corey Stoll, will be released in the States on Christmas Day, December 25.
