It looks like Brad Pitt is actually contemplating about killing his wife, that is, in the upcoming WWII spy drama "Allied," which comes from Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Flight). Here, Pitt plays a US soldier ordered to assassinate his new wife (Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard) after she is accused of being a Nazis spy. Check out the brand new full-length trailer for the film, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters this Thanksgiving Weekend.

Based on real events, the film centers on US intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt) and French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard), a pair of spies who are teamed up by their superiors to infiltrate a small party posing as a happily married couple vacationing in Nazi-occupied Casablanca. But once their mission is over, the romance truly begins. The two fall madly in love and eventually decide to get married for real. But the marriage starts to get a bit rocky when Max's boss informs him that Marianne is quite possibly a German spy. And if proven so, his next assignment is to either kill her or be hanged for treason.

Written by Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Dirty Pretty Things), the film also stars Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Goode, Simon McBurney, and Jared Harris.

"Allied" is set to invade theaters on Wednesday, November 23rd.
