Get a "closer look" with a brand-new featurette for HBO's new sci-fi thriller "Westworld," starring Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, James Marsden, and Ed Harris.

Taking place inside an artificial yet hyper-realistic western world where visitors pay to have an immersive experience and live out their most wild and violent fantasies, the ten-episode drama is an adaptation of Michael Crichton's cult 1973 film, which uniquely merged western and science-fiction themes together.

"Westworld," the TV series, was created and developed by screenwriter Jonathan Nolan (Interstellar, The Dark Knight Rises) and his wife, Lisa Joy (Burn Notice). While film director and TV mega-producer J.J. Abrams, who worked with Nolan on the CBS series "Person of Interest," is also on board as one of the executive producers.

The HBO series is boasting a very strong supporting cast that includes Jeffrey Wright, Rodrigo Santoro, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Ben Barnes, Angela Sarafyan, Jimmi Simpson, Clifton Collins Jr., and more.

"Westworld" is set to air this Sunday, October 2.
