Already generating strong reviews, Netflix's newest Marvel superhero series "Luke Cage" -- starring Mike Colter as the titular bullet-proof Harlem defender and recent Emmy nominee Mahershala Ali (House of Cards) as Cage's number-one nemesis, local mob king Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes -- will start streaming this Friday, September 30.

Just in case you need another reminder that Marvel's small-screen universe might be more entertaining than its big-screen counterpart, Netflix has released an action-packed final trailer for the 13-episode series, which also stars Simone Missick (Wayward Pines) as badass New York cop Misty Knight; Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy) as Cottonmouth's top enforcer Shades Alvarez, and Emmy-winner Alfre Woodard as Cottonmouth's cousin and crooked politician Mariah Stokes (she's known in the comic books as notorious gang leader Black Mariah).

Rosario Dawson reprises her role as New York nurse Claire Temple, a character who's serving as a kind of bridge and has appeared on all of Marvel/Netflix series so far: "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil."

synopsis:
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city -- forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
