The new PBS documentary "Hamilton's America" serves two purposes: it examines the historical and cultural importance of American founding father Alexander Hamilton, and offers viewers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the making of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony-winning Broadway rap-musical sensation "Hamilton."

Check out a newly-released trailer for the Alex Horwitz-directed documentary, which features conversations with Miranda and most of his original "Hamilton" cast, along with interviews with President Barack Obama, Former President George W. Bush, Rapper Nas, Senator Elizabeth Warren, financial journalist Maria Bartiromo, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and many more.

"Hamilton's America" will premiere Friday, October 21 on PBS.
