Ice Cube is hell-bent on beating the crap out of Charlie Day in the first trailer for the upcoming teacher-brawl comedy "Fist Fight."
Helmed by "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" director Richie Keen, the film centers on two high-school teachers (Cube and Day), who find themselves in a strange rivalry after they challenge each other to a classic after-school brawl on the last day before summer break. The problem is Day's character never wanted anything to do with the fight and now has only a few hours to figure out a way to get out of it.
Also starring Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, Christina Hendricks, Kumail Nanjiani, JoAnna Garcia Swisher with Dean Norris, Dennis Haysbert, and Kym Whitley, "Fist Fight" is set to open in theaters on February 17, 2017.
synopsis:
On the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throw down after school. News of the fight spreads like wildfire and ends up becoming the very thing this school, and Campbell, needed.
