Cult genre filmmaker Don Coscarelli (The Beastmaster, Bubba Ho-Tep, John Dies at the End) caps off his beloved "Phantasm" franchise with an "epic" final chapter.
Check out the new theatrical trailer for Coscarelli's "Phantasm: Ravager," the long-awaited fifth -- and final -- installment of the popular supernatural horror film series, featuring a deadly flying metallic orb and a mysterious evil mortician known as "The Tall Man" (once again played by the recently departed Angus Scrimm; in his final performance).
The film, which also stars original cast member Reggie Bannister, is the first in the franchise to have been directed by someone other than Coscarelli. In this case, it's TV animator, illustrator, and visual effects artist David Hartman who also co-wrote "Ravager" with Coscarelli.
In conjunction with the re-release of a newly restored version of the original 1979 "Phantasm" movie, "Phantasm: Ravager" will be hitting theaters and VOD on Friday, October 7.
