HBO is hoping that TV viewers will saddle-up for their new sci-fi western "Westworld." And the network has just released a new "mature" trailer, assuring fans that this new series will be putting the "wild" in the Wild West.

Using the classic Roy Orbison track "In Dreams," this latest preview titled "Dreams" shows new footage from the upcoming series starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, James Marsden, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Angela Sarafyan and Ed Harris.

The 10-episode series revolves around a virtual-reality theme park made to look and feel like the old American West, where visitors pay a hefty price to have a totally immersive experience. However, things go adrift when the android models that were created to populate the fantasy world start to become self-aware and dangerously unpredictable.

Based on Michael Crichton's cult 1973 film of the same name, the small-screen adaptation hails from executive producers Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest), Lisa Joy (Burn Notice), and J.J. Abrams.

"Westworld" is set to air on Sunday, October 2nd.

"Westworld" is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin. The one-hour drama series is inspired by the film of the same name, written and directed by Michael Crichton.
