Playing a highly-motivated Washington lobbyist, two-time Oscar nominated actress Jessica Chastain decides to fight fire with fire as she goes up against the powerful pro-gun lobby in the first trailer for "Miss Sloane."

The upcoming Capitol Hill drama (and a possible awards contender) also stars Mark Strong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alison Pill, Jake Lacy, Sam Waterston, and John Lithgow.

Written by first-time screenwriter Jonathan Perera, "Miss Sloane" is the latest directorial effort by "Shakespeare in Love" helmer John Madden, who had previously worked with Chastain on 2010's Nazi-hunting thriller "The Debt."

The film, which will give movie audiences an inside look at the cunning backroom dealings in Washington, is currently slated for a December 9 release.
