Check out the trailer for "The Lennon Report," a low-budget, yet ambitious indie drama about the aftermath of John Lennon's assassination, as seen through the eyes of the medical staff and patients at New York's Roosevelt Hospital.

The cast includes Richard Kind, David Zayas, Evan Jonigkeit, Stef Dawson, Ashlie Atkinson, Devin Ratray, Adrienne C. Moore, Stephen Spinella, Micah Hauptman, and Karen Tsen Lee. Meanwhile, newcomer Walter Vincent co-stars as Alan Weiss, a real-life TV news producer who, following a motorcycle accident, was there at the same emergency room where Lennon was brought in with fatal gunshot wounds.

Vincent also co-wrote the screenplay with first-time feature director Jeremy Profe. While award-winning cinematographer Lisa Rinzler (Pollock, Three Seasons, Menace II Society) shot the film.

"The Lennon Report" will arrive in theaters and VOD beginning October 7.

synopsis:
The unheard true story of the moments after John Lennon was shot as seen through the eyes of those who lived it. Alan Weiss, an ambitious young news producer, finds himself in a position to break the biggest story of the year following a violent motorcycle accident. The emergency department at Roosevelt Hospital discovers a John Doe shooting victim is the worlds biggest rock star and struggles to keep the news quiet while working to save his life.
