Mr. Robot's Rami Malek has finally reached his breaking point in his latest indie drama "Buster's Mal Heart," which is about to have its world premiere at TIFF.

The film, written and directed by Sarah Adina Smith (The Midnight Swim), tells the story of Jonah (Malik), a hard-working husband and father whose job as a night-shift concierge at a hotel begins to take a toll on his sanity. Along with the pressures of marriage to Marty (House of Cards' Kate Lyn Sheil) and a chance encounter with a strange drifter (DJ Qualls), Jonah makes a break for the woods to get away from it all. Now a wandering mountain man, Jonah begins to elude the authorities by breaking into hotel rooms and making ranting phone calls to radio talk shows by using the name "Buster."

"Buster's Mal Heart" is scheduled to screen at TIFF this weekend, starting on September 11th. In the meantime, you can check out the film's festival trailer, above.
