"Waiting for Guffman" and "Best in Show" director Christopher Guest is back behind the camera with "Mascots," which is a new mockumentary that's exploring the wacky world of sports mascots.

Guest has also brought back his regular group of improvisational actors, which include Jane Lynch, John Michael Higgins, Jennifer Coolidge, Parker Posey, Bob Balaban, Don Lake, Harry Shearer, Ed Begley Jr., Michael Hitchcock, and Fred Willard. While Zach Woods (Silicon Valley), Sarah Baker (Louie), Susan Yeagley (Parks and Recs), Maria Blasucci (Drunk History), Kerry Godliman (Derek), and Chris O'Dowd (Family Tree) have joined in the fun.

Revolving around an annual competition for the best sports mascots in the world, "Mascots" will premiere globally on Netflix beginning Thursday, October 13. The comedy is also set to screen next week at the Toronto International Film Festival. Check out the trailer, above.
