Disney's Beauty and the Beast — Behind-the-Scenes Sneak Peek

For anyone who is planning to purchase the new 25th Anniversary Blu-Ray of Disney's classic animated movie "Beauty and the Beast" (out on September 18), there's some great news. It seems the disc will also include an exclusive sneak peek at next year's hotly anticipated live-action remake, which is starring Emma Watson as Belle and "Downton Abbey" actor Dan Stevens as the Beast.

Disney has released a quick 40-second snippet of that behind-the-scenes preview, featuring footage from the table read with Watson and Stevens. Director Bill Condon also appears in the clip as he expresses his excitement for the technology that will help bring the animated movie to life.

"Beauty and the Beast," which will also star Ewan McGregor (as Lumiere, the candlestick), Ian McKellen (as Cogsworth, the clock), and Emma Thompson (as Mrs. Potts, the teapot), will arrive in theaters next spring on March 17, 2017.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is a live-action re-telling of the studio's animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. "Beauty and the Beast" is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
