Meet the desperados who make up "The Magnificent Seven." Here are seven character-centric featurettes for the much-awaited western remake, which stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.

In the film, which comes from director Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer, Training Day), Washington plays Sam Chisolm, a bounty hunter hired to bring justice to the oppressed people of a small Western town controlled by a ruthless landowner (played by Peter Sarsgaard).

Chisolm enlists the help of six other rough-and-tumble enforcers for the mission. They include Faraday, the Gambler (Pratt); Goodnight, the Sharpshooter (Hawke) and Jack Horne, the Hunter (Vincent D'Onofrio). Meanwhile, Korean superstar Byung-Hun Lee plays Billy Rocks, the Assassin; Mexican actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is Vasquez, the Outlaw, and Native American actor Martin Sensmeier takes on the role of Red Harvest, The Warrior.

Also starring Haley Bennett, "The Magnificent Seven" is set to arrive in theaters September 23rd.

With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.
