Paramount has released the debut trailer for "Rings," which is the latest installment in the popular horror franchise based on the Japanese cult supernatural thriller about a demonic videotape that gives watchers only seven days to live before it inexplicably kills them.

Directed by Spanish horror helmer F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall), the forthcoming thriller stars Italian actress Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe (The 5th Wave), Vincent D'Onofrio (The Magnificent Seven) and co-stars Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden (of TV's Star-Crossed), and contortionist stunt actress Bonnie Morgan (The Devil Inside).

"Rings" will be arriving in theaters on February 3, 2017.

synopsis:
A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a "movie within the movie" that no one has ever seen before...
