A second teaser trailer has just arrived online for the upcoming LA-set musical "La La Land," featuring the first singing performance from Oscar-nominee Emma Stone, who is back onscreen starring opposite Ryan Gosling as two lovers destined to meet and fall in love with one another as if it was written in the stars.
Set as an homage to old-fashioned Hollywood romantic musicals, Stone plays Mia Dolan, an aspiring actress hoping to one day make a name for herself. While Gosling plays Sebastian, a dedicated jazz pianist who is keeping himself busy by playing in dingy bars until he meets the one girl that puts him in the mood for a melody.
Written and directed by "Whiplash" helmer Damien Chazelle, the film also co-stars John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Tom Everett Scott, and J.K. Simmons.
"La La Land" is set to open in select theaters starting on December 9.
