Amazon is stepping up its global game in the original content business. Much like Netflix, Amazon will start delivering serialized shows for viewers outside of the U.S. And the streaming company has recently released the first UK trailer for their very first original British series.

"The Collection," which is set to premiere in a couple of weeks on Amazon Prime exclusively for UK members, is a 1947-set drama about the unsparing yet glitzy world of the fashion industry. The series stars Richard Coyle (Coupling) and Tom Riley (Da Vinci's Demons) as two entrepreneurial brothers who try to launch a high-end clothing empire during the fashion renaissance of post-WWII Paris.

Created by veteran TV producer Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives), the eight-part series also stars James Cosmo (Game of Thrones), Frances de la Tour (Hugo), Max Deacon (Into the Storm), and Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife).

"The Collection" will start streaming in the UK on Friday, September 2. And as of yet, there's no official U.S. release date.
