Last week, a one-minute teaser was released for the upcoming alien-invasion drama "Arrival," starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker as three government officials tasked with establishing the first face-to-face encounter with extraterrestrial visitors. Today, the studio is offering viewers a beefier look with a new full-length trailer and a slightly different international trailer (watch them above).
Helmed by acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve, of "Sicario" and "Prisoners" fame, the film is an adaptation of "Story of Your Life," the 1998 short story by award-winning science-fiction writer Ted Chiang.
The premise concerns the ramifications of an unexpected visit from an enigmatic alien race. When twelve giant rock-shaped space pods suddenly land on Earth, the U.S. government appoints one of the nation's top linguists (played by Adams) to translate the alien language and to determine whether they have come in peace or have come to conquer.
Co-starring Michael Stuhlbarg, Tzi Ma, and Mark O'Brien, "Arrival" is currently slated to hit theaters November 11.
