Cinemax has released the full-length trailer for its new 1972-set crime series "Quarry," starring Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, The Invitation) as a PTSD-afflicted Vietnam Vet who returns home to Memphis, only to get himself mixed up in the underground world of contract killing.

Based on the long-running pulp novel series by crime writer Max Allan Collins (Road to Perdition), the eight-episode drama also stars Scottish actor Peter Mullan (Top of the Lake, War Horse) as a shady Tennessee broker who persuades the ex-Marine sharpshooter (Marshall-Green) into becoming one of his well-paid assassins.

"Quarry" was developed into a Cinemax series by "Rectify" writers Michael D. Fuller and Graham Gordy while Emmy-winning TV director-producer Greg Yaitanes (Banshee) serves as an executive producer. Yaitanes is also directing the entire series.

Co-starring Damon Herriman, Jodi Balfour, Jamie Hector, and Nikki Amuka-Bird, "Quarry" is scheduled to premiere on Friday, September 9.

synopsis:
'Quarry' is the story of Mac Conway, a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public.
