Sully — TV Spots

Tom Hanks doesn't "feel like a hero" in a couple of newly-released commercials for "Sully," the upcoming drama about the real-life U.S. Airways pilot who, in 2009, safely landed a commercial airliner in the Hudson River after both engines malfunctioned moments after takeoff. The events became known as the "Miracle on the Hudson."

Donning a white mane and mustache, Hanks portrays Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, the veteran airline captain who was hailed as a national hero, but later came under scrutiny during an investigation that seemed to imply his judgment was impaired and his actions were reckless.

Produced and directed by Clint Eastwood, and co-starring Aaron Eckhart, Anna Gunn, Mike O'Malley, and Laura Linney, "Sully" will land in theaters September 9.

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Captain "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.
