The most irritable and depraved person to ever don a Santa Claus suit is coming back this year to deck the halls with booze-fueled insults and anti-Christmas sentiment -- and we couldn't be more excited to see what he has in store for us.

Check out the brand-new red band trailer for the long-awaited sequel to the 2003 irreverent Christmas comedy "Bad Santa," in which Billy Bob Thornton reprises his role of Willie Soke, a despicable, alcoholic con-man, who masquerades as a department-store Santa Claus during the holiday season just to gain access to the valuable items inside the local shopping mall stores.

Tony Cox also returns as fan-favorite Marcus, Willie's equally grouchy crime partner, who has recently been sprung from prison with a new job in mind. It's a job that not only requires Willie's active participation but also the services of his long, estranged mother (played by Kathy Bates).

Former kid actor Brett Kelly is also back as Thurman, the shy, chubby boy who became Willie's unlikely sidekick in the original film. Thurman is now a chubby 21-year-old who still craves Willie's twisted fatherly advice.

Co-starring Mad Men's Christina Hendricks and featuring a cameo from Octavia Spencer, the upcoming sequel is helmed by "Mean Girls" director Mark Waters.

"Bad Santa 2" will be arriving in theaters on Wednesday, November 23.

synopsis:
BAD SANTA 2 returns Academy Award-winner BILLY BOB THORNTON to the screen as America's favorite anti-hero, Willie Soke. Fueled by cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus (TONY COX), to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Along for the ride is "the kid" -- chubby and cheery Thurman Merman (BRETT KELLY), a 250-pound ray of sunshine, who brings out Willie's sliver of humanity.

Mommy issues arise when the pair are joined by Academy Award, Golden Globe and Emmy-winner KATHY BATES, as Willie's horror story of a mother, Sunny Soke. A super butch super bitch, Sunny raises the bar for the gang's ambitions, while somehow lowering the standards of criminal behavior. Willie is further burdened by lusting after the curvaceous and prim Diane, played by Emmy Award-nominee CHRISTINA HENDRICKS, the charity director with a heart of gold and libido of steel.
