Arrival — Teaser

added: Tue, Aug 9th '16

Paramount has released a 60-second teaser for Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker's new sci-fi drama "Arrival," which centers on a brilliant linguist (played by Adams), who has been chosen by the government to take part of the first ever meetings with a group of extraterrestrial beings that have suddenly arrived on Earth in gigantic pod-shaped spacecrafts.

Helmed by Denis Villeneuve, the acclaimed French-Canadian director of "Sicario" and the upcoming "Blade Runner" sequel, the film is based on a short story by award-winning sci-fi author Ted Chiang, which was adapted by horror-sci-fi screenwriter Eric Heisserer (Lights Out, The Thing remake).

"Arrival" is set to hit theaters on November 11. Meanwhile, a full-length trailer is scheduled to be released next week on Tuesday, August 16.

When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team -- lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) -- is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers -- and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
