Acclaimed Danish writer-director Martin Zandvliet tells the largely untold World War II story of how the Danish army ordered German prisoners to defuse thousands of land mines that had been buried along the coast of Denmark.

Starring Danish actor Roland Moller (A Hijacking) as a Danish sergeant in charge of a group of young captured Germans, "Land of Mine" has received a number of accolades during its festival run, which included screenings at last year's TIFF and this year's Sundance.

The film will be making its way to the States later this year. And Sony Pictures Classics has recently released the film's U.S. trailer, watch it above.

synopsis:
As World War Two comes to an end, a group of German POWs, boys rather than men, are captured by the Danish army and forced to engage in a deadly task -- to defuse and clear land mines from the Danish coastline. With little or no training, the boys soon discover that the war is far from over. Inspired by real events, LAND OF MINE exposes the untold story of one tragic moment in post-war history.
