Jason Ritter wakes up in a strange dystopian world with no memory of his past in the trailer for "Embers," a stylish sci-fi drama from first-time feature filmmaker Claire Carre.

Premiering to mostly positive reviews at this year's Slamdance Film Festival, "Embers" follows several different characters and takes place in a not-too-distant future where people's memories have been severely affected by a worldwide phenomenon.

In addition to Ritter, the film also stars Iva Gocheva, Greta Fernandez, Tucker Smallwood, Karl Glusman and introduces Silvan Friedman.

"Embers" is currently available on iTunes and VOD (Aug 2.) and will play in Los Angeles (in Arclight Cinemas) from Friday, August 5th to Thursday, August 11th.
