90-year-old, legendary comedian Jerry Lewis takes on his first leading role in nearly two decades and proves he's still "got it" in the debut trailer for the upcoming film "Max Rose."

Lewis, who also appears in a small role in this year's Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood heist movie "The Trust," plays a newly widowed grandfather in this bittersweet, character-centric drama about a retired jazz pianist, named Max Rose, who searches for answers after learning the shocking truth about his recently departed wife: For the duration of their entire marriage, she secretly loved another man.

Written and directed by Daniel Noah, the producer-and-writer of the indie thrillers "McCanick" and "Camino," the film also stars Kevin Pollak, Kerry Bishe, Illeana Douglas, Claire Bloom, and Dean Stockwell.

"Max Rose" will receive a small theatrical run through September and October, opening first in New York City on September 2 and then in Los Angeles on September 8.

synopsis:
