Sausage Party — Extended TV Spot (ft. Seth Rogen, Ed Norton, and Michael Cera)

Compared to other animated food movies in recent years, Seth Rogen's new comedy "Sausage Party" might very well be ranked up there with "Ratatouille" and "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs." At least, that's what Rogen, Ed Norton, and Michael Cera are chatting about in this new 60-second commercial for their upcoming animated comedy.

Rogen, Norton, and Cera are among the all-star lineup of actors who are lending their voices to the film, which revolves around a mixed group of talking food-related characters at an ordinary grocery store. It's only when they are purchased that the grocery items come to realize their true purpose in life -- to get chopped up into bits and be swallowed alive. Ah, the humanity!

But what separates "Sausage Party" from the other animated food movies -- other than the whole revelation of human consumption -- is the fact that the MPAA has given the film an R rating due to "strong crude sexual content, pervasive language, and drug use." So, in other words, you've been warned.

"Sausage Party" opens August 12.
