It's been more than 50 years, but Ron Howard still has a severe case of Beatlemania. The Oscar-winning director gets to revisit the early '60s as he explores the first few years of the legendary rock-n-roll band, The Beatles, in a new rock documentary that shows how four mop-topped musicians from Liverpool, England came over to America and forever changed music as we know it.

Featuring rarely seen archival footage of the band's initial rise from 1962 through 1966, "The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years" will also include new interviews with the last two remaining band members, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as John Lennon and George Harrison's wives, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison.

The documentary, which is produced by Howard and Brian Grazer's company Imagine Entertainment, will have an awards-qualifying theatrical release on September 15, including screenings around the world. It will also be made available to stream on Hulu.com, starting Saturday, September 17. Watch a new trailer, above.
