Here's the first official trailer for the eagerly-awaited new fourth season of BBC's hit detective series "Sherlock," which is hinting at a terrible new twist that will test the knowledge and limits of the world's greatest detective (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his loyal sidekick, Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman).

The preview starts with a broadcast message from Sherlock's archnemesis Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott), who asks, "do you miss me?" Well, if you're a fan of chaos and mayhem, presumably, your answer is ... hell, yes!.

Created and written by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, Sherlock's Season 4 will also star Gatiss, Toby Jones, Una Stubbs, and Louise Brealey. The show -- which airs in the UK on the BBC and in the US on the PBS network -- will be returning sometime in 2017.
